Tuition and Fees

Hamilton Academy offers an age appropriate child development curriculum for children, infant through jr kindergarten. Children six years through twelve years who attend local schools are offered after-school care and a Summer Program. Children are enrolled on a first-come, first-served basis, regardless of race, color, or creed. Field Trips are planned for all appropriate ages, with activities and swimming provided regularly during selected periods each year.

Breakfast is served from 8:45 - 9:30 am.  An appetizing lunch is served from 11:15 - 12:15 according to class schedules and a nutritious snack is offered at 3:00pm. Monthly lunch menus are distributed to parents.  All meals are included in the tuition.

The Center is open Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Center is closed for the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. These are paid holidays for our staff and will be included in our weekly charges. You are required to pick up your child before 6:00 p.m. or a late pick up fee must be paid. In case of an emergency, please call the Center with alternate instructions.

Hamilton Academy accepts Child Care Group, a subsidy program for eligible families.  If your family is not CCG eligible, there are many discounts offered.  Please speak with the director.

Hamilton Academy closes at 6:00 p.m. Late fee of $1 per minute beyond 6:01 p.m.

 

Vacation
One week vacation without charge will be allowed each year (with tuition current) for pre-school children (infants are not included). Our "year" is the normal school year of September 1 though August 31.

Summer School Age
School age children may enroll for full day Summer Program and be allowed to take two weeks vacation without charge. We feel this arrangement is appropriate in order to assure more flexibility needed for school age students.

Please Note
In order to provide the high quality care, stability, qualified teachers and an enriched facility with varied opportunities and learning experiences, we have the following standards set for our program.

  • Our Staff consists of teachers of maturity, many years of experience (in most cases) and well-trained in child development. We strongly support our staff taking classes to complete their degree and we seek to hire and keep as many degreed teachers as possible.
  • Our intention is to provide a program developed and priced in order that all children may participate without continually being asked for additional fees. However, there is a Summer Activity Fee for additional transportation expenses, swimming, and summer activity expenses.
  • We accept no drop-in students.

Closing Time
The Center is scheduled to close at 6:00pm. We ask parents to cooperate in picking up their children before 6:00pm. We and our staff must be allowed to go home and care for our own families so, if for some emergency a parent should be delayed, please call the Center and inform the aide in charge that you will be late. A late charge of $1 per minute beyond 6:00pm is payable immediately by the parent to the aide forced to remain overtime.

While we understand that emergencies do arise, we request that parents keep in mind that 6:00pm is closing time. Our staff is hired by the hour and continuous tardiness to pick up a child on the part of a parent will necessitate our request that the child be withdrawn from the Center.

The Center admits and fully accepts all children regardless of race, color, nationality, or religious background.

This program of high standards requires a stable, dependable income. Therefore, it is a necessity that parents be aware that fees are due each week before the week is served. The only exception to this is the annual one week vacation.

Tuition must be paid even if your child is not present. Please understand that your child's place in the school is reserved and cannot be sold to someone else.

Two weeks notice is required before withdrawal of a child and payment for two weeks will be required if notice is not received.
